The importance of early education was one of the most relevant issues during the celebration of pre-school education day, held at the "Abate Molina" Hall, with the assistance of educational and of UTalca’s authorities.

The dean of the Department of Educational Sciences, Rossana Fiorentino, took the opportunity to say that the Linares Campus will add next year the Pedagogy in Early Childhood Education program, with English minor, in order to train teachers to be able to stimulate the social, linguistic and artistic skills in each of the children.

This initiative received the congratulations from both, the regional ministerial secretary of education, Rigoberto Espinoza, and from the regional coordinator of Early Childhood Education, Marta Aedo.

Espinoza stressed that "the quality of education starts from the nursery and is it about allowing early childhood education to be each day more inclusive."

"I would like to congratulate the University of Talca for resuming the pedagogy programs and, starting next year, the Early Childhood Education program, with English minor. This is essential, because it is in line with what  the Ministry is looking for," he said.

Rossana Fiorentino dedicated some words to the professionals and mentioned that "without a doubt, the environment is a determining factor in the development of skills in children. Here is the master key to reduce inequality: give children from vulnerable families a learning environment of quality".
