First term’s International Fest took place with students from Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, Spain, Italy, France, Germany and South Korea, where foreign exchange students shared with Chileans some of their traditions and customs, in gastronomy, music, emblems and typical clothes.

The young foreigners installed stands to make their presentations, which also included information about their hometowns.

The Director of International Relations of the Corporation, Carolina Torres, stressed that this activity has become a tradition the student community expects and enjoys, not just because of the gastronomic part. "In addition, it allows to know other cultures and to show it to those who still cannot have the possibility to go abroad. Through this, we do a bit of internationalization from here and encourage young people to learn about other countries. It also gives them cultural and social information and they become a bit more cosmopolitan without leaving Chile", she explained.

In this edition, one of the most popular stands was the one from South Korea, where one of the students wore a hanbok, a traditional dress characterized by its colors and simple lines. "This is a good University to study. People are very polite when I need help. I also like Talca, "said Yeji Choi, a student from Hankuk University, who is following an Agronomy course for one semester in the UTALCA.
