June 24, 2016

The Journal of Theoretical and Applied Electronic Commerce Research (JTAER), of the Department of Engineering, has achieved a sustained growth, positioning itself for eight consecutive years as number one in Latin America for greatest impact factor, according to the SCImago Ranking.

This measurement has one of the greatest impacts at the international level, and it measures the scope of Scopus publications.

The journal, whose main focus is e-commerce, is multidisciplinary and for this reason it is recognized as number one in two areas of knowledge: business management and computer science, issues that are dealt with by international specialists. Their works are reviewed by an editorial committee which verifies whether they meet the quality required to proceed towards being published. "We are interested in that the articles appear to be the best and we have achieved a good level, we are publishing about 15 per year, with a 20% acceptance rate on the articles we receive”, said its director.

The magazine was born in 2006 and it was indexed in Scopus in 2008. It is published quarterly and it can be visited at http://www.jtaer.com/.
