Learn about the student benefits, scholarships, and grants available to you as a regular student at our school.

Support Scholarships

A monthly, personal, non-transferable benefit provided by the University. It is intended for students who do not receive state or private meal scholarships. Applications are made annually for all students wishing to access this benefit.

This consists of a financial compensation awarded by the University to students who collaborate in academic or administrative units. Applications are submitted annually, and the conditions for assignment are subject to the requirements established for the assignment.

Applications are submitted annually and consist of a freely available monetary award intended to support students in their university activities. Award conditions are subject to compliance with certain requirements.

Monthly financial benefit for women entering an engineering program at the University of Talca who meet the requirement of passing the M2 complementary mathematics test. Applications are made during the first year and are renewable upon meeting certain requirements.

Monthly, freely available financial benefit for students pursuing teaching degrees. Applications will be made annually for first-year students, and eligibility/renewal will be subject to eligibility requirements.

A sum of money given annually to support students in their learning process. This benefit must be repaid two years after graduation or the student will lose regular student status.

This aid consists of a financial benefit that covers the outstanding balance of tuition, fees, and other institutional debts the student owes the University at the time of death. The benefit is not reimbursable to the University.

This aid is granted in the event of a student's sudden total disability and covers the outstanding balance of tuition, registration, and other institutional debts for the year in which the event occurs. In addition, it covers 50% of the tuition in subsequent years, unless the student receives free tuition or another type of scholarship that covers that percentage.

Financial benefit granted in the event of the death or total disability of the student's financial supporter. It covers unpaid tuition and fees in the year of the event, and in subsequent years, it covers 50% of the remaining tuition, provided the student does not have other benefits that cover this amount.

A sum of money awarded by the university to address the following needs: graduation, study activities and internships, and health emergencies. This sum must be repaid two years after graduation or upon losing student status.

Non-refundable financial benefit granted to students facing economic crisis or catastrophes that affect their academic continuity. The aid is provided in cases duly evaluated by the Student Welfare Department.

A supplementary contribution that the University of Talca grants to recipients of the Food Scholarship for Higher Education (BAES), covering the difference between the value of the basic meal and the maximum daily amount covered by the JUNAEB (National Educational Commission). This benefit is managed directly with the university cafeteria concessionaires.

Supports students who collaborate on teaching activities in undergraduate modules. The benefit consists of a financial payment based on the number of hours worked (maximum 24 hours per month).

This financial benefit is intended for students who perform non-teaching work in academic or administrative units, such as research or library support.

Scholarships
of Tariff

Check out the internal benefits that UTalca offers its students.

This consists of an exemption from paying the annual tuition fee for teaching students. Applications are made during the first year and are renewable for subsequent years upon meeting certain requirements.

It complements the Ministry of Education's Teaching Vocation Scholarship by covering the difference between the actual university tuition and the amount covered by the state scholarship. Applications for this scholarship can be made during any year of the program, and once awarded, it can be renewed upon meeting certain requirements.

Financial benefit covering 75% of the annual tuition for children of permanent or contract employees of the University of Talca. Applications for this scholarship can be made during any year of study, and once awarded, it may be renewed upon meeting certain requirements.

It waives the annual fee or grants a sum of 22 UTM, depending on certain conditions, to students with the highest ranking at their educational institution. Once assigned, it can be renewed upon meeting certain requirements.

The student with the highest score on the admissions tests is exempt from paying the annual fee or is awarded a sum of 22 UTM, depending on certain conditions. In addition, recipients of this scholarship may apply for an internship abroad, in accordance with the regulations established by the University for such purposes. Once awarded, it can be renewed upon meeting certain requirements.

It waives the annual fee or provides a cash grant to students, as applicable, with the five highest average scores on the admissions tests in the following regions: Ñuble, Maule, O'Higgins, and Metropolitan. Once awarded, it can be renewed upon meeting certain requirements.

A benefit that covers tuition or provides a monetary amount for students who enter through special admission for athletic talent and continue to represent the university. Once awarded, it can be renewed upon meeting certain requirements.

It exempts the student with the highest selection score in each program from paying the annual tuition fee for the first year of the respective program or from granting a sum of 22 UTM, depending on certain conditions.

Annual public recognition for the best undergraduate student per campus, with a diploma, monetary award, and photograph on the University's Honor Roll.

Public recognition for the University's three best athletes. Each recipient will receive an honorary diploma, a monetary award, and their photograph will be included in the UTalca Sports Honor Roll.
