Sports Teams

For our House of Studies, sports training and practice is an axis that contributes to comprehensive development.
and life project of the members of the Utalina community.

The University of Talca has 12 sports teams that participate in various competitive events at the regional, national, and international levels.

In the Maule Region, residents of Maule compete in the Higher Education Sports League (LDES), comprised of our school, the Catholic University of Maule, the Autonomous University, and the Santo Tomás University in the disciplines of athletics, swimming, table tennis, soccer, futsal, basketball, and volleyball.

At the national level, the main sports competition is organized by the National University Sports Federation (FENAUDE), made up of the universities belonging to the Council of Rectors of Chile (CRUCH). UTalca has positioned itself at the top of the sporting ladder, winning five national titles.

Once they have won a national championship, the sports team qualifies for the International University Sports Games (FISU), a competition that brings together the best representatives at the continental and world levels.
