School of law and social sciences

We are recognized for providing a solid disciplinary education that has become a hallmark of our graduates. Through our research, we contribute to the development of public policies and new knowledge.

Created in 1992, the Faculty and Degree of Law was the first bachelor's degree in the humanities area of our House of Studies and a pioneer in schools of the discipline between Santiago and Concepción.

It currently has six research centers, three prestigious national and international journals, and two Legal Training Clinics, based in Talca and Santiago, which provide free legal services to the community.

This academic unit has been offering a Public Administration program since 2018 at the Lircay Campus, building on its legacy of origins in 2013 and committed to strengthening the debate on administrative and political sciences from the regions.

“We invite you to join the Faculty of Legal and Social Sciences, an academic space where you will find two programs of relevance in the Maule region: Law and Public Administration. Both programs, along with our continuing education and postgraduate courses, are led by distinguished academics who will teach you the disciplinary, practical, and ethical aspects of each profession and program, but you will also gain a deep social sensitivity and a vocation for community service.”
