Ricardo Ffrench Davis, is a business manager, with a PhD and Master's Degree in Economics from the University of Chicago, and he is recognized, both in Chile and abroad, for his valuable contributions to the development of the economic sciences from a social perspective. Throughout his career, he has been a visiting professor at the Universities of Oxford, Boston, and Complutense de Madrid, and institutes in Spain, France, Italy and Sweden. He has also presided over the United Nations Committee for Development Policies, among many other activities.
His career earned him the National Prize in the Humanities and Social Sciences in the year 2005. .

M.S. Swaminathan. He completed his doctoral studies at the Cambridge University, Great Britain, and made a post doctorate at the University of Wisconsin, United States. His experience as a plant geneticist has allowed him to make significant contributions to the strengthening of agriculture in India and to the conservation and betterment of natural resources.

Alfredo Etcheberry Orthusteguy, Outstanding Chilean jurist, he received the award in November 2008, in recognition for his academic career as a professor at the Universidad de Chile and Pontificia Universidad Católica and his contributions to the scientific and cultural development of the country, in the area of criminal sciences.
