The Bioinformatics and Molecular Simulation Center (CBSM) of the University of Talca, has the mission of managing research in Bioinformatics at the university to support the progress in areas of science such as Biotechnology, Medicine and Agronomy.
The CBSM promotes the training of highly qualified researchers to generate new knowledge related to Structural Biology, Genomics, Computational Physics-Chemistry and Computing, in a multidisciplinary environment, fully enagaged in the basic foundations of science and the potential technological reach.
It also promotes scientific collaboration with institutions outside the University at the national and international level in the area of Bioinformatics, carrying out activities about academic and applied research.
1. Development of algorithmic solutions to problems.
2. Electronic microscopy.
3. Characterization of therapeutic targets through bioinformatics tools.
