The “Abate Juan Ignacio Molina" Institute of Humanist Studies develops interdisciplinary research to strengthen the teaching, research and outreach of the Universidad de Talca.

Located on the Talca Campus, the Institute centers its work on Social and Human Sciences research.

It hosts the Fundamental Training Program, supporting the educational activity of the students.

The Institute was created in 1989 with the mission of imparting the Humanist Training Plan.

Currently, the Institute offers the Master’s degree in Teaching of the Humanities: Literature and Visual Arts, which seeks to provide creativity skills in the teaching of these disciplines, among its objectives.
